We bring in this D16Y8 engine directly from Japan. It is a very popular engine for Honda Civic and Acura EL models. This is a naturally aspirated, 16-valve, SOHC VTEC engine, and as a result, it is known for being reliable and fuel-efficient.

For the 1997-1998 Acura EL (Canada Only): This specific engine is a great fit for these models.
For the 1996-2000 Acura EL (Canada Only): This version has an open-head casting and a crank angle sensor that mounts to the oil pump. Also, the timing belt, gears, and tensioner come pre-installed, which makes the engine swap much easier.

Honda/Acura D16A1 Engine (1986-1989)

The D16A1 engine is an excellent replacement for 1986-1989 Honda/Acura Integra models. This powerful DOHC, 16-valve, naturally aspirated engine provides excellent performance.

For the 1986-1987 Honda/Acura Integra: This engine features a 3-bolt TDC sensor on the back of the exhaust cam and a 22mm crank snout.
For the 1988-1989 Honda/Acura Integra: This version has a 2-bolt mount for the TDC sensor and a 24mm crank snout. Additionally, we include the timing belt, gears, and tensioner with this engine.
