Description
Power your industrial equipment and heavy-duty trucks with a high-quality Caterpillar C15 ACERT Diesel Engine Long Block. This advanced 15.2L (927.6 in³) inline-6 engine is renowned for its blend of power, efficiency, and emissions compliance. The final price will depend on your specific configuration and application requirements.
The Caterpillar C15 ACERT engine represents a significant evolution in Caterpillar’s heavy-duty diesel lineup. Introduced in the 2000s, ACERT (Advanced Combustion Emissions Reduction Technology) was Caterpillar’s innovative approach to meet increasingly stringent emissions regulations without the need for an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system or Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) in its initial iterations.
Key Features and Performance:
- Advanced Combustion Technology: ACERT optimizes combustion through precise air and fuel management, enabling the engine to meet emissions standards while maintaining strong performance and fuel economy.
- Engine Configuration: Inline-6, 4-stroke cycle diesel with a robust cast-iron block and head.
- Displacement: 15.2 Liters (927.6 cubic inches).
- Horsepower & Torque: C15 ACERT engines typically offer a wide range of ratings, from 435 to 600+ Horsepower, and peak torque figures often exceeding 1,550 lb-ft to over 2,000 lb-ft, making them suitable for the most demanding tasks.
- Electronic Control: Features a sophisticated electronic control system for precise management of fuel injection, turbocharging, and other engine parameters, ensuring optimal performance, diagnostic capabilities, and fault logging.
- Durability: Built with Caterpillar’s hallmark heavy-duty construction, ensuring exceptional longevity and reliability in harsh operating environments.
Common Applications:
The C15 ACERT engine is widely used in many applications of industrial equipment for model years 2000s and up, as well as various heavy-duty on-highway vehicles, including:
- Heavy-duty Highway Trucks: A very popular choice for long-haul and regional haul trucks.
- Construction Equipment: Large excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, graders, and articulated trucks.
- Mining Operations: Various large-scale mining machinery.
- Agricultural Equipment: Large tractors and combines.
- Power Generation: Used in various generator sets.
- Other Industrial Uses: Pumping units, crushers, and specialized machinery.
Our Caterpillar C15 ACERT Long Blocks are meticulously prepared to the highest standards, ensuring a reliable and high-performing engine solution.

ENGINE TESTING
Every engine is machined using state-of-the-art equipment and assembled using precise and repeatable methods. All engine production follows documented lean manufacturing processes and principles to create consistent quality and dependable outcomes.
All Short Block, Long Block, and Long Block Premium are 100% Sim tested before shipment.
Complete Drop-In engines are 100% dyno tested before shipment. Computer controls ensure that each engine dyno test is conducted under standard, repeatable settings. Every engine is run through a warm-up cycle; three separate cruise segments simulating light, medium, and heavy throttle conditions; maximum torque and horsepower tests; both high and low idle tests; and a black light leak detection test with dyed oil, coolant, and fuel.
we’ve been delivering remanufactured engines for skid steer loaders for over 30 years—longer than any competitor in the industry. Our veteran machinists, many with decades of experience, follow engine-specific rebuild procedures to ensure consistent quality with every unit.
Each engine is carefully rebuilt to meet or exceed OEM specifications, using top-tier components and proven techniques. This is more than just a repair—it’s a full remanufacturing process designed to restore the engine to like-new condition.
Before shipping, every complete skid steer engine is dyno-tested for performance and reliability, so you can install with confidence.
